Long Island Against Domestic Violence Workshop for Teens and Parents (In Person)

6-8 pm

LI ADV educates young people to recognize the signs between healthy relationships and controlling, abusive & manipulative ones. Counselors will provide resources and teach strategies on how to identify the signs of abuse; either dating violence, bullying, stalking and cyber bullying. Parents and teens will be separated into 3 different groups and rooms- grades 6-8, grades 9-12 and parents. Teens will receive 2 hours of community service for attending this program. Route 27: Long Island’s Southern Thoroughfare (Virtual)

Route 27 extends from western Brooklyn to the eastern tip of Long Island in Montauk. The longest thoroughfare on Long Island, Route 27 is known by several names, most commonly as Sunrise Highway. Join Eco-Photo Explorers as they explore the entire length of Route 27 to uncover its past as well as its present connection to our lives. Zoom link will be provided by the Library. Medicaid Enrollment Assistance (In Person)

10 am-3 pm

The Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council will have facilitated enrollers trained by the NY State Department of Health at our Library to assist the aged, blind, and disabled populations with enrollment.
