Sustainability

The Library is proud to announce that we have received our Sustainable Library Certification through the Sustainable Libraries Initiative. The SLI provides libraries with a step-by-step process to implement sustainable decisions that are environmentally sound, socially equitable, and economically feasible. We aim to create partnerships, policies, and procedures that will help our Library and community thrive in the coming years.

Plastic Recycling

NexTrex Plastic Recycle Channel chart with what can be recycled.

As part of our continuing goal to be sustainable, the Library is now collecting plastics such as baggies, newspaper sleeves, bubble wrap, cereal bags, bread bags, dry cleaning bags, and more.

Help us collect 1,000 pounds of plastic throughout the year to earn a Trex Bench made from recycled plastics.
