Local Book Clubs

 Let the Library obtain multiple copies of a book for your Book Club. Please complete the form below and we will contact you when the items are available for pickup. Please allow 7-14 business days for requests to be fulfilled.

Online Book Clubs

  • Officially called Cover to Cover, the Good Morning America Book Club is devoted to “showcasing diverse and compelling authors telling both fiction and non-fiction stories.” The hosts of GMA, including Robin Roberts, show off their own passion for reading in monthly interviews with authors. Participate by visiting their website or follow them on Instagram.
  • Gwenyth Paltrow has launched a Goop Book Club to connect virtually with readers about true and fictional stories that open up important conversations. You can join the Facebook group, follow the group on social media #goopBookClub, and watch author interviews on their YouTube channel. New books are posted every month.
  • Check out Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine Online Book Club for great reads with women at the center of the story. You can follow the book club on social media, subscribe to the newsletter, and listen to podcasts to keep you connected. New books are posted every month. Get the complete list.

  • Long Island Reads began in 2002 and is an Island-wide reading initiative intended to bring together readers from across Nassau and Suffolk Counties to discuss a book and participate in library-sponsored activities and events associated with it.  The committee endeavors to choose a title that has a direct Long Island connection and lends itself to related programming.
