1000 Books Before Kindergarten

Our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten reading club promotes the importance of reading aloud with children, starting in infancy. Along your journey to 1,000 books, we will provide reading tips, reading logs to track progress (either through the app, online or just plain paper), a free tote bag when you reach 100 books, free books at every reading milestone, a “Reading Stars Wall of Fame” and lots of encouragement and enthusiasm. Any book read to your child counts, including books from story time at the Library or nursery school, even books your child has read before. Give them the opportunity to feel proud of a huge accomplishment! Make sure they are as ready as they can be for one of the biggest moments of their little life — starting school.
