Friends of the West Babylon Public Library
The Friends of the Library was founded in 1981 and was instrumental in ensuring the successful vote to create the West Babylon Public Library in 1983. Over the years, the Friends hosted parties for our young children and senior citizens, solicited donations and held raffles to raise money for the Library. Thousands of dollars have been donated, thereby saving many tax dollars. From young to old, every single member of West Babylon has benefited from the volunteer efforts of all the members of the Friends of the Library.
Now we need your help! We hope community minded people will join as active members. Attend meetings which are held the fourth Tuesday of the month at 4 pm and you can contribute your ideas to plan events. Enjoy refreshments and you have the option to attend the entertaining program held in conjunction with the meeting. Join us during the set up of one of our special events and you will make everyone’s day more enjoyable. Join the Friends, meet new people, make new friends and support your Library and community!
